Update regarding concerns of H5N2, H5N3 and H5N8 infections in local poultry farms:
- Currently, no bird-to-human transmission of avian influenza has occurred
- Taiwan’s Center for Disease Control (CDC) continues to closely monitor the outbreak situation
- Follow preventive measures such as avoiding visiting live poultry markets and live bird markets, avoiding direct contact with poultry and birds or their droppings, consuming only thoroughly cooked poultry and eggs, and washing hands frequently to prevent infection
