The United States releases the 2018 Report on International Religious Freedom

U.S. Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo released the 2018 Report on International Religious Freedom on Friday June 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. EDT.  The report covers government policies violating religious belief and practices of groups, religious denominations and individuals, and U.S. policies to promote religious freedom around the world.  The U.S. Department of State submits the reports in accordance with the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998.

Staff of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) regularly meets with authorities, lawmakers, religious leaders, and representatives of faith-based social service organizations as part of its efforts to promote religious freedom and tolerance.
