The Visit to Taiwan of Representatives Takano, Slotkin, Allred, Jacobs, and Mace
Representative Mark Takano (D-CA), Representative Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Representative Colin Allred (D-TX), Representative Sara Jacobs (D-CA), and Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC-1) visited Taiwan from November 25-26, 2021, as part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region. While in Taiwan, the congressional delegation met with President Tsai Ing-wen, Foreign Minister Joseph Wu, and Veterans Affairs Council Minister Feng Shih-kuan. They also visited the Hutuoshan Innovation Hub in Taoyuan. In all of these meetings, the delegation had an opportunity to exchange views with Taiwan counterparts on a wide range of issues of importance to both the United States and Taiwan.
