The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ (MOEA) Bureau of Investment Services and Bureau of Foreign Trade, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, are organizing a SelectUSA conference on Tuesday, November 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Taipei International Conference Center (TICC). The conference will focus on investment opportunities in the United States. Speakers will include the AIT Director Christopher J. Marut, Deputy Minister of MOEA Francis Liang, Executive Director of SelectUSA and Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Steve Olson.

The conference will include presentations on financial aspects, legal topics and visas related to investing in the United States during the morning. Industry breakout sessions focused on green energy technology, information communication and technology, and advanced manufacturing will be offered during the afternoon. Fifteen U.S. states and territories will be featured at the SelectUSA conference, some of which will send representatives to provide information on specific investment opportunities in their respective state or territory. Participating states and territories include Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Guam, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington, and West Virginia.
