The Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and Recall, a global leader in information and data management, are organizing a Digital Data Management Symposium in Taipei on May 5.

Mr. Elton Potts, Group President and Chief Operating Officer of Recall, will share insights and the latest trends on the digital “evolution” in the world of data management. Mr. Ho Chuan-Te, Director of the Department of Information Management, Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan will discuss the plan of the Taiwan authorities to “go digital” by 2012.

Discussion topics will include:

• Pundits have touted the “paperless office” for years; but the average office worker still uses 10,000 sheets of paper every year. Has the digital “evolution” stalled and what will it take to jump-start it?

• Software as a Service (SaaS) is set to grow 20% a year. How are companies using SaaS to manage their digitized data?

• Many companies are using Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to gain time and cost efficiencies. Learn which areas of business are really seeing the benefits and what companies are doing to mitigate the risks.

Executives and others managers responsible for data management are invited to register for and attend this symposium. The date and venue of the symposium are:

Date: Wednesday, May 5, 2010
Time: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Venue: Suite 3207, 32F, 333, Keelung Rd., Sec. 1, Taipei
