Join Director Moy in Taichung April 13th for a U.S. Citizen Town Hall and Consular Services

Note: Payment for Services by Local Bank Draft in USD Only, No Cash Payment will be accepted

AIT Director Kin Moy cordially invites you to a U.S. citizen town hall in Taichung on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 1:30-2:30pm.  This is the second in a series of town halls that Director Moy will host around the island this year (check out this video for more information).  Representatives from AIT’s consular section will also be on hand before and after the town hall to provide passport renewal and notary services.

When:  Thursday, April 13th at 1:30pm (passport renewal and notary services will be offered from 11:45am-1:15pm and after the town hall from 2:30-3:30pm     

Where:   National Taichung Library, 3rd Floor, Multi-Functional Classroom No. 100, Wuquan S. Rd, South District, Taichung City 

Who:       All U.S. citizen travelers/residents are invited, so tell your friends!  This event will be off the record.  No filming or recording, please.

How:      Please RSVP by Tuesday evening, April 11th to  amcit-ait-t@state.gov.   A U.S. passport will be required for entry.

  • Notary Services
  • Passport Renewals
  • Absentee Voter Ballot Collection

Payment for services must be made by local bank draft (Cashier’s Check) in U.S. Dollars (本地銀行的美金匯票) payable to “American Institute in Taiwan” with no other amendments or notations (such as “Not Negotiable”).  We regret that we will be unable to provide services without payment by local bank draft at the time of the visit.  Please ensure that your bank draft is for the exact cost of your services. Minor child passport renewals cost $105; adult passport renewals cost $110; first-time or lost adult passport replacements cost $135; all notary services are $50 per notary signature. All applicants must prepare A-4 sized photocopies of all required documents before submitting the passport application.

For passport renewals, the passport will be ready in about three weeks and will be sent to the applicant by courier.  The previous passport will be cancelled and returned to the applicant on-site at the library.
