On November 1, 2017, Taiwan became the 3rd location in East Asia and the 12th worldwide whose passport holders are eligible for Global Entry, a program administered by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Global Entry allows expedited immigration and customs clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States.
