The American Innovation Center (AIC) in Taiwan was established in January 2014 and is the first of its kind in Asia. The center seeks to promote digital learning and distribute the latest information about innovation, as well as share current trends in innovation and the diverse cultures in the United States. To accomplish these purposes, four major themes — innovation, entrepreneurship, digitalization, and culture and design — were developed by the Center to provide the public, independent designers and students with the most relevant, up-to-date information and curriculum. We hope this will inspire people to think outside the box and become participants in the digital economy, and, eventually, make the Center a new innovation model for Asia. Synchronized with the American Corners around the world, the AIC provides books, E-books, DVDs and online database related to the subjects of U.S. culture and society, art and design, innovation and entrepreneurship, English teaching, travel and digital learning. It is also equipped with Computer workstations (PC/MAC), 3D scanners and printers, multimedia devices and video conferencing equipment.
