Eugene Cornelius, Jr., Deputy Associate Administrator for the Office of International Trade with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will visit Taiwan November 13-18, 2017, to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week.
During his stay in Taiwan, Cornelius will participate in a Global Cooperation and Training Framework workshop on Building a Bright Future for Women Entrepreneurs in Tech. He will also deliver remarks to entrepreneurs, academics, students, and venture capitalists at Meet Taipei, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Cheng Kung University, and the 2017 U.S.-Taiwan Entrepreneurship, Commercialization, and Startup Meetup. Cornelius will visit leading Taiwan tech accelerators, the Southern Taiwan Science Park, the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ innovation hubs, and will meet with Taiwan policy makers responsible for startups and tech entrepreneurship.
Cornelius leads the Office of International Trade with the U.S. Small Business Administration which formulates and administers policies and programs, as well as provides technical direction and coordination of interagency activities with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Trade Representative, the Department of Agriculture, the Export Import Bank, the Department of State, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and other Federal, State, and local agencies.
Mr. Cornelius holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He has professional designations in Negotiations, Economic Development, and Urban Planning.
