Dawn L. McCall, Coordinator for the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) is scheduled to visit Taiwan July 17-20.
While in Taiwan, Coordinator McCall will meet with Taiwan officials to discuss our shared people-to-people programs. Coordinator McCall will also visit American Institute in Taiwan’s American Corners in Taipei and Taichung.
Dawn L. McCall became IIP Coordinator in July 2010. She is responsible for directing the bureau as it advances U.S. foreign policy goals and national interests by creating and delivering communication programs that inform and engage international audiences.
Ms. McCall is a business leader experienced in establishing and operating media businesses in international markets. She founded International Media & Entertainment Partners, LLC, an international media consultancy in 2009.
From 1999 to 2007, Ms. McCall was President, Discovery Networks International, a division of Discovery Communications, a global media company best known for its flagship Discovery Channel. During her tenure as President, Ms. McCall managed a staff of 1,000 professionals worldwide and oversaw all aspects of the business including new business development, strategic planning, sales and marketing, program production and operations.
