American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Auditorium: No. 57, Lane 69, Section 2, Jianguo South Road, Da-an District, Taipei 106

Time:
Wednesday, April 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Registration:
Participation in the on-site auction viewing is limited to 200 attendees.   All attendees, including AIT staff, must send an e-mail with your name, local identification number, and contact phone number to aitauction@state.gov by March 27th at 3:00 p.m. to register.  Attendees will be notified via e-mail before 5:00 p.m., March 27th of their successful registration.  The sealed bid auction is open to the general public.  AIT staff and families may participate – with the exception of GSO and their families or friends (both American and Taiwan employees).

How to bid:
Items will be available for viewing only during the time listed above.  Interested bidders must submit their sealed bids (Bid Slip – PDF Format, 536 KB | Bid Slip – Word Format, 86 KB) to the bid box by lot number in person by 2 p.m. on April 3rd.  There is also an e-bid option.  If you can’t participate on the auction date, you are welcome to place your bid by e-mail to Taipeiebid@state.gov. After bidding closes, all sealed bids will be opened by AIT Property staff and lots will be awarded to the highest bidder.

Payment and pickup time
These services will be available Monday, April 15th and Tuesday, April 16th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Winning bidders will be notified by e-mail shortly after bidding closes, and all winning bids must be collected during the above times.  Winning bidders should coordinate with AIT Property staff to minimize their wait time during pickup.  Only cash payments will be accepted.

Pickup location
American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Warehouse:  No. 7, Lane 134, Section 3, Xinyi Road, Da-an District, Taipei 106

Winning bidders are responsible for collecting their items or they will not be allowed to register for future auctions.

Auction items include
Furniture, Furnishings and Silverwares (PDF, 6.7 MB, 104 items, Updated: 2019/03/25).

Note:
Items are sold on an “as is, where is” basis, and no repairs, refurbishment or maintenance of any kind will be done on any item before or after the sale under any circumstances.  All sales are final; no refunds, returns or exchanges are allowed or permitted.  AIT reserves the right to remove any item from the sale if the bids are considered insufficient.  The buyer is solely responsible for removal of the items from the warehouse within the specified pickup time.
