We appreciate the patience of the Taiwan people in helping us meet the need of Americans who are facing an extremely stressful situation in the face of a devastating earthquake, tsunami, major aftershocks, and now the threat of nuclear radiation. The support and assistance of the Taiwan people in these circumstances have impressed everyone at AIT. We especially want to note the tremendous help we have received from the Taiwan authorities, especially those working at Taoyuan International Airport. One of AIT’s most important responsibilities is to take care of our citizens in distress and we are grateful for Taiwan’s support.
