AIT Consular Team to Visit Chiayi City to Provide Consular Services for U.S. Citizens on May 17, 2019

Are you a U.S. citizen who needs to renew your U.S. passport, obtain a Consular Report of Birth Abroad for a newborn, or would like a document notarized? American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Kaohsiung Branch Office will visit Chiayi City on Friday, May 17, 2019 to provide those consular services and answer questions.

Services will be offered from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the second-floor lobby of the Executive Yuan’s Southwest Taiwan Joint Services Center, located at No. 184 Wufeng North Road, Chiayi City

Please check our website at https://www.ait.org.tw/u-s-citizen-services/passports/ for more information on required application forms, the specific U.S. passport photo 2″ x 2″ square size requirement, and current fees.

Please note that since November 1, 2016, eyeglasses or cosmetic contact lenses that alter the iris in any way are not acceptable in passport photos. Please bring both the original and a clear photocopy of your U.S. passport or other photo ID.

We are only able to accept local bank drafts (cashier’s checks 美金匯票) payable to the “American Institute in Taiwan.” We cannot accept cash, personal checks or credit cards.
