AIT Co-organizes the Third Annual Taiwan-U.S. Commercial Forum in Southern Taiwan

The AIT Kaohsiung Branch Office, in conjunction with the National Pingtung Institute of Commerce (NPIC), is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Taiwan-U.S. Commercial Forum scheduled to take place on Friday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Splendor Hotel in Kaohsiung City.

The Forum will address the Taiwan-U.S. commercial relationship and prospects for economic cooperation to develop Greater Kaohsiung City. AIT Kaohsiung Branch Chief Chris Castro will deliver a keynote speech followed by AIT Agricultural Section Chief Jeffrey Hesse and AIT Kaohsiung Principal Commercial Officer Stephen Green, who will provide an update on the National Export Initiative U.S. President Barack Obama announced last year. The Forum will conclude with a panel discussion on Taiwan’s merger-related issues featuring senior leadership from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kaohsiung City Government, and American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung. Dr. Jack Jan of NPIC will serve as Chairman of the Forum.

Participating organizations include the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mainland Affairs Council, Kaohsiung City Government, American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), NPIC, the American State Offices Association (ASOA), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung.
