The AIT Kaohsiung Branch Office, in conjunction with the National Pingtung Institute of Commerce (NPIC), is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Taiwan-U.S. Commercial Forum scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grand Hi Lai Hotel in Kaohsiung City.
The Forum will address the Taiwan-U.S. commercial relationship and the prospects for economic recovery due to the City/County mergers to be implemented in Taiwan in December 2010. AIT Kaohsiung Branch Chief Chris Castro will deliver a keynote speech followed by AIT Kaohsiung Principal Commercial Officer Stephen Green, who will discuss the National Export Initiative U.S. President Barack Obama announced in March. The Forum will conclude with a panel discussion on Taiwan’s merger-related issues. Dr. Jack Jan of NPIC will serve as Chairman of the Forum.
Participating organizations include the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, AIT Kaohsiung Branch Office, NPIC, the American State Offices Association (ASOA), the American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung City Government, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Kaohsiung Chamber of Industry, and the Kaohsiung Light House Rotary Club.
