The American Institute in Taiwan is pleased to announce that the 2014 Fulbright East Asia Pacific Meeting will be hosted in Taiwan from March 26-28, 2014. The meeting, organized by the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange, will allow American officials from throughout the Asia-Pacific region to discuss a variety of matters related to the administration of the United States’ flagship academic exchange program. This is the first time that Taiwan has hosted the meeting, which takes place once every three to four years.
The conference will include presentations by key public diplomacy officials including Susan Stevenson, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy in the Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. While in Taiwan, Deputy Assistant Secretary Stevenson will meet with various Taiwan officials, discussing and affirming the strength of the unofficial United States-Taiwan relationship.
